Assessment is extremely important factor in students’ journey and one of the biggest challenges that the Higher Education sector is facing with is how to design assessment to make it an integral part of students’ learning journey. Authenticity is the key in design of learning and assessment. In this guide I introduce the main characteristics of authentic assessment and based on the latest research by Villaroreal, provide a 3-steps model to make assessment authentic. The guide also provides good case studies across faculties.
